About Feeling Seen

Psychological disorders and behavioural problems can arise when children or teenagers can no longer handle school overload, specific problems or situations that can put a strain on family or social environments. Parents worry and feel helpless and overwhelmed.

Over the years these the problems and tensions, regardless the love and attention parents try to give, lead to a lack of understanding that increases with time.

This is where Feeling Seen comes in.

The approach of this therapeutic method is to reach into the child’s/teen’s needs and

fears and reach into their heart to pull them out of the isolated emotional state they are in.

The method allows children to word their feelings and to express what they are going

through thus understanding what is going on inside them. At the same time, parents can see what is encouraging their child’s behaviour. This awareness will help establish a better and sustainable communication between parents and children, a key factor to a healthier relationship.

WE will also be able to pinpoint parent’s needs, their difficulties and their feelings of

powerlessness when facing situations that require a lot of attention.

Together we try to find new solutions that lead parents to take responsibility (in areas

where parents should) decreasing the weight of responsibility for children (in areas where children shouldn’t have). This will decrease tensions and give everyone a safe and comfortable place in the relationship.

The purpose is to establish an open and honest dialogue between children/teens and parents. Children feel they have the right to exist and be heard, to have emotional

attachment, to be respected, to be helped and as a child protected. Only in this context can a child grow in confidence, develop his personality and skills to

thrive. With this he can acquire tools for a happy life.

Feeling seen is a mind body approach based on Pesso-Boyden-System-Psychomotor (PBSP).
